The Robotics Team (http://robotics.boschresearch.com) of the Bosch Research and Technology
Center is looking for
highly motivated interns with a strong desire to promote robotics research. The
candidate will join a team of experienced researchers driving robotics
technology development and research at Bosch Research in the Palo Alto office with the goal of creating
viable solutions for growing international market needs. Intern projects focus
on a wide variety of topics, including driver development for MEMS sensors,
application development, ROS software development, perception, manipulation,
remote operation, human assisted operation.
Skills / Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S.
in EE, or related fields
- Robotics related coursework and
experience
- Proven experience developing
software using C/C++ (microcontroller experience is a plus)
- Knowledge of Linux, and
development on Linux systems
- Demonstrated ability to work
independently as well as within a highly motivated team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to deliver on
challenging software development tasks.

About Robotics at the Bosch
Research and Technology
Center
The robotics team at RTC was awarded a PR2
research robot as part of the Willow Garage PR2 Beta Program. We are the only
corporate research organization to receive a PR2 as a part of this program. As
part of our engagement in the PR2 Beta Program, we develop and publish open source
software and collaborate with Willow Garage and the ROS community. In addition
to external projects such as the PR2, we also work with our internal partners
to develop products for current and future Bosch business.
