Data Mining Research Intern: Privacy preserving data mining

Tasks/Duties:

Data mining researchers at Bosch Research and Technolgy Center, North America create advanced statistical models to analyze patient health and electronic medical records. We have an opening for an enthusiastic Master’s student looking for a thesis topic to join our team. The student will participate in our efforts to identify suitable standards or classes of defensive algorithms can be applied to create novel data mining methods that preserve user privacy.

Required skills:

  • Master’s (or German diploma) students in one of the following fields: CS with focus on database systems or AI
  • Background in machine learning, data mining, or software security
  • Familiarity with data de-identification
  • Strong programming experience in Python/C++

Desired skills:

  • Demonstrated successful application of privacy preserving data mining
  • Clear understanding of the standards for data anonymization in healthcare
