He previously held the role of chief financial officer for Bosch Security Systems. At the time of Bosch Security Systems’ 2001 acquisition of Detection Systems, Mr. Gerace was the vice president, chief accounting officer for Detection Systems. His initial role, upon joining the company in 1997, was chief accounting officer.

Formerly, Mr. Gerace held a senior manager position in the audit and business advisory services division of Price Waterhouse LLP.

Mr. Gerace holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Simon Graduate School of Business at the University of Rochester in New York. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
