Degree Level: Master, Ph.D.

Major(S): Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge and proven experience in software development in C++
• Strong implementation skills.

Preferable Skills:

• Knowledge and experience in robotics, autonomous systems, environment, perception, computer vision, 3D reconstruction, computational geometry, machine learning, or related fields.
• Software development experience in large settings using version control systems, OOP paradigms, OpenGL, and GUI programing.

Job Description:

This intern will be part of a team of Bosch researchers. We develop and design algorithms and applications of Autonomous Systems, Robotics and 3D Reconstruction Systems. The Bosch Research and Technology Center in Palo Alto, CA is now seeking highly motivated candidates to take part in this effort. We solicit applications from individuals with a strong background in CS or related areas and proven implementation skills. We offer the opportunity to work with experienced researchers in a flexible and creative industrial research environment on cutting edge technologies. The candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in an industrial R&D setting.

Projects include:

• 3D Reconstruction: Development and implementation of algorithms for real time camera motion estimation and manipulation of large 3D data sets.
• Environment Mapping: Feature and data mapping for precise vehicle localization using lidar and computer vision.
• Robotics: Planning and Navigation for a robotic system for indoor scanning and reconstruction.
