Bosch Home Appliances, known for its environmentally conscious products, enthusiastically welcomed the passage of the Barton-Domenici Energy Policy Act. The bill, signed by President Bush, contains provisions that will help expand sales of super-efficient appliances by providing tax incentives to manufacturers producing products meeting federal standards established by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Bosch’s high-efficiency products, such as its Nexxt™ laundry system and Integra™ and Evolution™ dishwasher lines employ advanced technologies developed to save water and energy. Nexxt washers, which can clean a full load of clothes using as little as 10.6 gallons of water, have earned the highest achievable ENERGY STAR® rating available, which means they exceed strict efficiency guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the DOE. Launched last year, Nexxt washers already meet 2007 Federal Regulatory Standards. Through an advanced sensor package, Nexxt dryers also take less time and energy to dry clothes than conventional dryers. All this while providing superior care and protection for even such delicate fabrics as silk or cashmere.
Utilizing similar energy-saving strategies, all Bosch dishwashers have earned the ENERGY STAR® label, exceeding the strict efficiency guidelines set by the EPA. In fact, Bosch dishwashers use as little as 3.1 gallons per cycle while guaranteeing excellent cleaning results.
