Bosch celebrates 100 years in the U.S.
September 6, 1906. That was the date almost 100 years ago, when Robert Bosch, New York was incorporated in the United States. With capital stock of $25,000, three incorporators – Gustav Klein, Carl Schurz and John Condon – signed a certificate forming a corporation to buy, sell machinery and apparatus for powering automobiles. With Robert Bosch, Otto Heins and Schurz as directors, Bosch in the U.S. was born. 

Bosch 100 Years

Now, Bosch’s phenomenal growth embraces approximately 80 locations in the country, nearly 18,000 employees, and represents the three Bosch Group sectors: Automotive Technology, Industrial Technology and Consumer Goods & Building Technology.

Talk about innovation. Since its inception, almost 5,800 patents have been issued to Bosch in the U.S.! Products range from automotive parts and technology, security systems, industrial machinery, packaging technology, production tools, power tools, household appliances, water heaters, and lawn and garden tools.

Brand names not only include the world renowned Bosch name. Through the years, Bosch has acquired other famous brands, including Skil, Dremel, RotoZip, Gilmour, Vermont American, Gaggenau, Thermador, and Aquastar.
