Paul Mercurio, engineering manager for Bosch Chassis Systems Control, North America, joined the show's host, Sam Memmolo, on the Two Guys Garage episode called "Total Control," featuring Bosch ESC.

ESC is an active safety system that detects when a driver is about to lose control of a vehicle and automatically intervenes by braking any of the four wheels and/or reducing engine torque to help the driver stay on course.
Every year, 32,000 people die in traffic crashes in the U.S., and 2.6 million are injured. ESC is especially effective in preventing crashes by helping to keep the vehicle in control and from skidding. Bosch is the pioneer of this life-saving technology.

Viewers of the show learned how vehicle safety is enhanced with ESC. Mercurio also discussed the recent NHTSA ruling to mandate ESC on all new North American vehicles under 10,000 lbs by fall of 2011.

In addition, Bosch ESC products are featured on the Two Guys Garage Web site (see right column for link).
