Body Area Networks (BAN) provide significant advantages in medical applications. In BAN, it is crucial to understand and minimize the impact of wireless communication to human body. It is also critical to understand the communication characteristics near, around, or through human tissue to optimize wireless communication efficiency within the limits.

Job Description:

  • Research relevant to medical and spectrum regulations ( MICS, ISM etc.)
  • Research existing literature on communication characteristic near, around, or through human tissue
  • Simulation and experimentation based on literature studies

Qualifications:

  • Capability to work independently with advise
  • PhD level with experience in wireless communication
  • Understanding of and ability to analyze wireless communication in PHY layer
  • Computer and simulation skills with proven experience
  • Healthcare/medical relevant experience is a big plus
