Targeted Skills: The intern should have an experience in software development.

Required Skills:

• Experience in software development using RFID and wireless sensor networks
• Experience in software development under embedded Linux on ARM processor
• Experience the mobile applications (iphone, Android) development
• Knowledge and experience in software development of Service Oriented Architecture including SOAP, WSDL, J2ME
• Good Software Engineering skills

Preferable Skills:

• Knowledge on the popular technologies (e.g. twitters) and creative thought on how to use them for new services for " Internet of Things"

Duties/Tasks: The intern will develop the software services for the home health care domain which manages the activities and behavior of patients living independently at home. The software services can be web services or client applications running on various types of embedded systems including motes and mobile phone. The target system consists of heterogeneous embedded devices (e.g. wireless sensor, RFID tags) that connects to a standard IT based platform using various communication protocols ( WLAN, LRWPAN, GSM, NFC, Bluetooth). He/she will identify key requirements for the given use-cases and environment, refine the software architecture an design for the application framework and services for the " Internet of Things", and implement services for the target system.
