Duties/Tasks: Increasing amounts of renewable energy systems and development of smart grid standards will lead to a decentralized energy management paradigm.  Bosch is researching new concepts and technologies for integrating building energy systems into the future smart grid.  This candidate will be responsible for loading modeling, basic algorithm development and integration into a software simulation environment.  The intern will obtain experience of working with key full time researchers in a high quality industrial R&D environment with an emphasis on innovation technology development.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Control theory
• Stochastic systems
• Electric grid power systems engineering
• Experience with electric power grid simulation tools
• Good programming skills (Matlab, C, C++)
