Duties/Tasks: Building environments are coming increasingly equipped with numerous, diverse sensors that measure a variety of different parameters, and data from these sensors is used for a range of applications such as security, safety, and energy management.  This internship position will develop algorithms to achieve this, focusing primarily on unsupervised techniques that require no training data and dynamical models that capture temporal dependencies among sensor data.  The learned models will be applied to problems for anomaly detection and prediction.  The intern will play a major role in defining the algorithms in theory, implementing in code, and testing on both real and simulated data available.
