Duties/Tasks: Design and implement modifications on IEEE802.11 MAC.  Investigations on performance improvements/degradations with respect to the considered application domains via simulations and experimentation with real hardware.  Design of algorithms for handling latency critical messages on IEEE802.11 and prototype of those algorithms on real hardware.  Investigations on modification on IEEE802.11 MAC for interference agility and implementation of those modifications on real hardware with investigation on performance improvements.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ability to analyze and develop wireless communication algorithms in PHY and MAC layers
• Familiarity with IEEE802.11 and good knowledge on its PHY/MAC layer
• Strong computer and simulation skills with proven experience in C/C++, OPNET and Matlab
