Degree Lever: Ph.D

Major (s): Electrical Engineering

Duties/Tasks: Responsibilities include development of algorithms, integration into existing testbeds, related system development and system simulation of building power systems.  Additionally, the candidate will actively participate in existing university research collaborations and help shape collaborative research.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ph.D in Electrical Engineering or related field with strong background in Electrical Power Systems, Control Systems, Mathematical Modeling, and Optimization
• Candidate must have at least 4 years research experience in energy/power system related topics
• Advanced building systems knowledge and expertise with statistic learning (machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining) is a plus
• Candidate should have a demonstrated high quality scientific publication track-record
• Excellent programming skills (Matlab, C/C++)
• Experience with power system simulation software and optimization software is a plus
