Major (s): Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
Duties/Tasks: The autonomous technologies group has an opening internship position relating to development of 3D reconstruction systems. Current research projects include the development of libraries for performing image operations (Feature Detectors, Tracking, etc.) and 3D reconstruction (Structure from Motion, Bundle Adjustment, etc.) on GPUs. The candidate will work inside a multinational team in research and design of algorithms and applications for reconstruction systems. More specifically the position would involve developing algorithms for image processing and manipulation a large 3D data. The task will be to support the project through research, design, and implementation of new features.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrate a proven ability to multitask and deliver on challenging software development tasks
- Strong knowledge in software development in C++ and GPU programming (Cuda/OpenCL)
- Knowledge/experience in computer vision and computational geometry is beneficial
- Should be familiar with modern software engineering tools and GUI systems.
- Should be well prepared to work independently in a large SW setting
