We are working on Personal Robotics and the enabling technologies. Our group was the only corporate research lab in Willow Garage’s PR2 Beta program amongst academic partners such as Stanford, Berkeley, MIT, Georgia Tech and others. Our interdisciplinary team conducts research on topics such as mobile manipulation, navigation, perception and semantic analysis of 3D data. We believe that the interplay of these fundamental technologies will make personal robots a reality. In the past our group created the PR2 Remote Lab and contributed to Robot Web Tools, we researched shared autonomy, sensor integration into ROS and 3D mapping and exploration. We actively contribute to the open source community with new packages and bug fixes. We collaborate with Stanford University, Open Source Robotics Foundation, Brown University and TUM.
