Tell us a little about how you got to where you are today in your career?

I started as a Desktop Publishing Intern at Telex Communications, which led to a full-time Marketing Specialist role. Telex was then acquired by Bosch and I was given opportunities to practice a number of marketing disciplines, including graphic design, web development, PR & copywriting, social media management and business development. I then grew into a more specialized role focusing on digital marketing. I established and led a web development team, and helped achieve exponential growth in our social media presence. Presently I am managing a global relaunch of four brand websites serving 1m users annually.

Robert Bosch founded our company over 130 years ago, and we still live by the values he embodied today. Discover a culture based on respect and responsibility, and carry our values further.

What training and development opportunities have you been given so far? How did they help you reach your full potential?

I have had extensive training opportunities through Bosch, most notably tuition reimbursement for my Marketing degree. In addition, I have completed several internal training courses for various specialist and managerial competencies. I have also attended industry conferences both nationally and internationally. Bosch encourages associates to proactively seek opportunities to enhance their skill set, which I appreciate.

How do you make a difference?

At Bosch, we are committed to developing innovative, beneficial, and fascinating products and services. Enhance with us the quality of life worldwide and leave a lasting mark on the world.

I have the opportunity to enhance customers’ experience with our product lines in numerous different ways. I advocate for an approach to marketing that is data-driven and customer-first. Through this I am able to make measurable gains towards customer satisfaction.

How would you describe the work culture at Bosch?

The work culture at Bosch is forward-thinking. Our unique setup as a private, engineering-driven company gives us more of a focus on long-term sustainability rather than short-term results. We are among the most demographically diverse teams in the company. I appreciate the unique perspectives which strengthen our performance as a global team.

Lifelong learning and a regular change of perspective are firmly anchored in our leadership culture.

What advice would you give to someone thinking about starting a career in your functional area?

Meet your customers at their level, and remember that they have the final say in the success of your campaign.
